Christine's Record

As a mother of four, Christine holds the responsibility of educating and inspiring our youth near and dear to her heart. She has devised several programs to provide opportunities for Monmouth County youth to grow as citizens and leaders, which include:

• "Your Vote Matters" Program: Christine visits area high schools to deliver a presentation designed for our first-time voters and answer questions about the voting process. Students receive a First-Time Voter Guide publication produced by Christine as well as any forms they need to register to vote or apply for a mail-in ballot.
• Girl Scouts: Christine helps Girl Scouts earn their democracy badges, by personally hosting troop field trips to the Elections Office or visiting troops to discuss the voting process and even hosting mock "Favorite Cookie" elections! 
• Internship Programs: As County Clerk, Christine has mentored interns from rising high school seniors through college seniors each spring and summer to cultivate our next generation of leaders.  
• Student Competitions: Christine has created several annual contests to engage our young residents, including the High School Archives & History Day Photography Contest and Elections & Voting Video Contest. She also partners with the Sheriff and Surrogate for the Constitutional Officers Association of New Jersey's Fourth Grade Poster Contest. Winning students not only receive prizes, but are personally honored by Clerk Hanlon at a Board of County Commissioners' meeting and have their work shared on social media.
